Turkmenistan is like all hidden treasures - hard to access and a little dusty, yet worth every ounce of effort and more. Turkmenistan travel will take you through the mysterious Karakum Desert, replete with Silk Road secrets and half-buried ruins. Just when you think you’ve left civilization behind, age-old traditions preserved by long-robed desert villagers will leave you stunned and impressed.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival Day

Arrival in Ashgabat International in the early morning Complete Border formalities and Transfer to the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
Starts Ashgabat city tour, including visit of Neutrality Arch, Monument of Independence, and National Museum.
Lunch at the local restaurant.
Visit of Mahtumkuli statue at the Kopetdag mountains. Visit other city sightseeing’s.
Dinner at the local restaurant and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2

Gas Crater Tour

Breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
Morning visit Old Nissa (UNESCO 2007) world heritage site. Spiritual mosque of Turkmenbashi.
Lunch at the local restaurant.
Drive from Ashgabat to Darwaza/ Gas crater or "Door to hell" (285 km / 4 hours) through Karakum Desert, via Erbent.
Special dinner at the Gas crater (barbeque)
Taking the pictures of Gas crater and Overnight Stay in the Tent.

Day 3

Transfer To Ashgabat

Breakfast at the Gas crater.
Drive from Gas crater to Ashgabat (285km/4h).
Stop at Mud gas crater and water gas crater on the way.
Lunch at the local restaurant.
Visit “Ashgabat” – white city monument, Russian Bazaar “Gulistan” for buying national souvenirs.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4

Mary City Tour

Morning Transfer from Ashgabat to Mary with new highway.
Breakfast at the hotel restaurant.
Visit of Historical sites of Ancient Merv: Sultan Kala IX AD, Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum XII C, Muhammet Ibn Zaid Mausoleum, Yusuf Hamadani Mausoleum, Mausoleum of Askhabs, Erk-Kala VI BC-V BC, Gyaur-Kala III BC-III AD, Shahriar Ark XI-XII AD, Small Sultan Kala XI-XII AD, Abdulla Khan Kala XV AD, Bayramali Khan Kala XVIII AD.
Lunch at the local restaurant.
Visiting Mary provincial and historical museum, Mary city bazaar.
Dinner at the local restaurant and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5

Departure

Drive from Mary to Ashgabat international airport.
