Itinerary

Day 1

HANOI ARRIVAL – WELCOME DINNER 

  1. Upon arriving at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our guide, who will be holding placard with your name. After a transfer of about 50 minutes to an hour, you'll reach your hotel for check-in. 
  2. Hanoi, whose name means "River-bound City," is the heart of Vietnam, and its history spans over a thousand years to 1010. The city's allure lies in its mesmerizing blend of timeless cultural treasures, ancient streets adorned with historic houses, elegant French colonial architecture, verdant boulevards, and enchanting lakes. This enchanting combination of historic elegance and natural beauty makes Hanoi one of Asia’s most captivating destinations.

Day 2

HANOI – HA LONG BAY OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE 

  1. Breakfast at hotel.
  2. After breakfast, our car and driver will meet you at your hotel to begin the journey to Ha Long Bay, approximately 160 km away, or about a 2.5-hour drive.
  3. Along the route, you'll travel through the picturesque Red River Delta, where you'll have opportunities to admire and capture photos of Vietnamese farmers tending their rice paddies. Feel free to request stops to fully appreciate the serene countryside views. 
  4. Stay overnight on Ha Long Bay Cruise. 


Day 3

HA LONG – HANOI – HOME HOSTED 

  1. Upon disembarking, our driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Hanoi. 
  2. You’ll arrive in Hanoi by mid-afternoon, just in time to experience two cultural highlights of the city.  You will visit Hoan Kiem Lake or “Returned Sword Lake” which originated from a legend of a sacred sword. Touring through the Old Quarter, famous for its ancient streets representing traditional trades from the past by cyclo.
  3. Later, enjoy the Water Puppet Show -Water puppetry is a unique Vietnamese art form performed in a large pool using the water as a stage. It is considered one of the most traditional and important parts of Vietnamese culture.

Day 4

HALF DAY HANOI CITY TOUR – VESPA TOUR 

  1. The half-day city tour begins with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Complex and Ba Dinh Square, a site of great historical and cultural significance for the Vietnamese people. This peaceful, traffic-free zone is surrounded by botanical gardens, monuments, memorials, and pagodas. Key landmarks within the complex include the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (viewed from the outside), the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House, and the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Step back in time as you explore the simple stilt house where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked during his early revolutionary years. 
  2. Just a short walk from the complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, an iconic 11th-century Buddhist structure. This elegant pagoda rises from the center of a lotus-shaped pond, supported by a single stone pillar, symbolizing purity and enlightenment. 
  3. Next, continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, prominent sages, and outstanding Vietnamese scholars. This historic site is a testament to the country’s reverence for education and learning. 
  4. In the afternoon, we start off in the heart of the capital, taking in views of the spectacular Long Bien Bridge that spans the Red River. We then take a ride on our Vespas, almost being transported back in time as we arrive at the ancient city of Co Loa in Hanoi’s quiet countryside. We breeze down cool back roads to visit a local farm in the middle of lush green rice paddies where we meet farmers to learn about their rural lifestyle. After a breathtaking ride through the valley, we arrive at a hidden wood carving village to discover how traditional wooden Buddhist statues are made by craftsmen using ancient techniques. Finally, we will visit a local family.

Day 5

FULL DAY HANOI – TRANG AN – HOA LU 

  1. Your day begins with a journey of approximately 100 km from your hotel to the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Ninh Binh province. Upon arrival, enjoy a tranquil sampan boat trip along the turquoise river, which winds through a network of water caves and limestone karsts. The breathtaking scenery of Trang An, with its blend of emerald waters, towering peaks, and a clear blue sky, creates a serene atmosphere. Rowed by skilled locals, the boat ride typically lasts 2-3 hours, offering an unforgettable experience in this pristine natural setting. 
  2. In the afternoon, continue to Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s first capital established in the 11th century under the Dinh Dynasty. Serving both as a political center and a stronghold against northern invaders, Hoa Lu was later inherited by the Le Dynasty. Explore two historic temples: one dedicated to Dinh Tien Hoang, the first emperor of the Dinh Dynasty, and the other honoring the kings of the Le Dynasty. While the temples have weathered the test of time, they still preserve intricate carvings and sculptures in stone and wood, reflecting the artistry of the era. 
  3. Conclude the tour, and come back to your hotel in Hanoi.

Day 6

HANOI – FLY TO DA NANG – HALF DAY HOI AN CITY TOUR – LANTERN NIGHT 

  1. After a leisurely morning, you’ll be transferred to Noi Bai International Airport for your flight to Da Nang.
  2. Upon arrival, your tour guide will warmly greet you and accompany you to Hoi An. Begin a fascinating city tour of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was once a thriving maritime commercial port in Asia from the 15th to 19th centuries. Today, it is a tranquil town celebrated for its exceptionally well-preserved architecture, traditional lifestyles, and rich cultural heritage. Hoi An showcases a harmonious blend of Vietnamese and international influences, including those from China, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. 
  3. Your exploration includes visits to iconic landmarks such as the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, a symbol of Hoi An, complete with a small temple on one side that reflects traditional Japanese architecture.
  4. Continue to the Museum of Trade Ceramics, housed in a beautifully restored wooden building from 1858, which displays a collection of antique ceramic artifacts highlighting the town's rich trading history. Visit the 200-year-old Tan Ky House, a prime example of an ancient Chinese merchant residence with its traditional architectural features. Explore Ong Temple, was constructed in 1653 by Chinese settlers to honor Guan Yu, the legendary Chinese general known for his loyalty, bravery, and justice. Finally, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the local market, bustling with colorful stalls and lively activities, offering an authentic glimpse into daily life in Hoi An.

Day 7

FULL DAY TRA QUE VILLAGE – COOKING CLASS 

  1. Your day begins with a cycling adventure to Tra Que Village, located 3 km from Hoi An’s center. Renowned for its organic farming practices, Tra Que provides fresh, chemical-free vegetables that enhance Hoi An’s local cuisine. 
  2. Explore the lush vegetable gardens, learn about the unique seaweed-based fertilizing methods, and hear the history of this special village. Join local farmers in their daily tasks, such as tilling soil, planting, or harvesting. Depending on the season, you’ll engage in authentic farming activities while discovering the deep connection between the locals and their land, offering a true glimpse into Vietnamese countryside life. 
  3. In the afternoon, you arrive at the cooking school to take part in the cooking class in an open-air pavilion by the river under the instruction of an experienced chef. Observe, practice, sample, and bring out a good meal cooked under the local style but to your own taste. 
  4. Stay overnight in Hoi An. 


Day 8

HALF DAY MY SON SANCTUARY – TRANSFER TO HUE 

  1. In the morning, your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you on a journey approximately 40 km west of Hoi An to visit My Son Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. My Son Sanctuary is a remarkable complex of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples built between the 4th and 14th centuries by the Kings of Champa, an Indianized kingdom of the Cham people. The sanctuary served as a significant religious and cultural center where kings performed ceremonies and rituals. It also functioned as a royal burial site for Cham rulers and national heroes. 
  2. After exploring the ancient temple complex and marveling at its historical significance, you will be transferred to Hue in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. The drive to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam, takes approximately three hours, offering scenic views along the way. Hue, once the Imperial City of Vietnam, served as the country’s capital during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945). Renowned for its historical significance and cultural heritage, Hue is home to stunning palaces, ancient temples, pagodas, and the iconic Perfume River. It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers a rich glimpse into Vietnam’s royal past.

Day 9

FULL DAY IMPERIAL CITY TOUR & PERFUME RIVER CRUISE  

  1. Start your day with a pickup from your hotel for an in-depth exploration of Hue, Vietnam’s former Imperial Capital from 1802 to 1945. Visit the Hue Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and vast complex comprising the Civic City, Royal City, and Forbidden City, surrounded by massive ramparts and moats. Stroll through historic gates, halls, and gardens, reflecting a blend of Vietnamese and Chinese architectural styles. 
  2. Continue to the Khai Dinh Tomb, the most elaborate of the Nguyen emperors' mausoleums, showcasing an intricate mix of European and Asian design elements.  
  3. Afternoon, board a dragon boat for a scenic cruise along the Perfume River, taking in serene landscapes and riverside life. Stop at Thien Mu Pagoda, a revered Buddhist monastery dating back to 1601, known for its iconic seven-story tower. Travel by car to the Minh Mang Tomb, a harmonious blend of architecture and nature, set amidst tranquil pine forests. End the tour at Dong Ba Market, where you can browse vibrant stalls offering local goods, crafts, and delicacies. 
  4. In the evening, enjoy a cultural and culinary journey aboard a dragon boat. Savor a delicious dinner while experiencing Ca Huế, a traditional music genre performed by skilled local artists. The melodies, combined with the tranquil ambiance of the Perfume River, provide a unique and unforgettable glimpse into Hue’s cultural richness.

Day 10

BIKING TOUR TO CONICAL HAT MAKING & DUONG NO VILLAGE 

  1. This tour takes you to explore two of Hue’s most iconic handicraft villages. Begin at the Phu Cam Hat-Making Village, renowned for producing the traditional Hue conical hat (non Hue), a symbol of the grace and elegance of Hue’s women. Here, you’ll observe the intricate process of crafting the Non Bai Tho, a poetic conical hat with inscribed verses. Beyond being a practical item, these hats are a form of artistic expression, deeply intertwined with Hue’s cultural heritage. 
  2. Next, visit Duong No Village, an ancient settlement celebrated for its rich historical and cultural traditions. Dating back to 1471, this picturesque village features hallmarks of a classic Vietnamese rural setting, including a banyan tree, water well, and communal yard. Duong No is also notable as the childhood home of Ho Chi Minh, where he lived from 1898, providing a glimpse into the life of Vietnam’s revolutionary leader amidst a backdrop of vibrant village life. 
  3. Stay overnight in Hue. 


Day 11

HUE – FLY TO HO CHI MINH CITY 

  1. Your journey begins with a transfer from your hotel in Hue to the Airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. 
  2. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. 
  3. Ho Chi Minh City, formerly and still commonly known as Saigon, is the most populous city in Vietnam. Vibrating with energy and innovation, the city is the economic heart of Vietnam and the main hub of the southern region. As a cosmopolitan metropolis of the country, its dynamic cityscape combining the old and the new of Vietnam has made it one of the most attractive destinations for visitors. 
  4. Stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. 


Day 12

 FULL DAY CITY TOUR - CU CHI TUNNEL BY SPEED BOAT 

  1. Early in the morning, our tour guide will meet you at your hotel’s lobby and bring you by car to our speedboat at Bach Dang pier. Then you will depart Saigon by speedboat. Within 15 minutes, the banks of the river change from city sprawl to lush jungle. A light breakfast of sandwiches or pastries, fresh tropical fruits and Vietnamese iced coffee (Ca phe sua da) is served, as your guide explains rural traditions and aspects of riverbank life. 
  2. Arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels site before the majority of larger bus tours arrive. Watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video to the Cu Chi area. 
  3. Explore the tunnel site, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunition etc.), a firing range and much more. 
  4. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years. Say goodbye to Cu Chi Tunnel and return to Ho Chi Minh City. 
  5. Return to the city and visit the Reunification Palace, the former residence and workplace of the President of South Vietnam, which played a significant role during the Vietnam War.
  6. Continue to the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a stunning neo-Romanesque cathedral built entirely with materials imported from Marseille during the French colonial period. Nearby, explore the Saigon Central Post Office, designed by renowned French architect Gustave Eiffel, showcasing colonial-era grandeur. 
  7. Conclude the tour with a visit to Cho Lon, Ho Chi Minh City's vibrant Chinatown. Here, you will discover the Jade Emperor Temple (Phuoc Hai), a rare Taoist structure dedicated to the Lord of Heaven, built in 1909. Its intricate architecture and spiritual ambiance make it a highlight of the city.

Day 13

FULL DAY EXPLORE MEKONG DELTA 

  1. In Morning, pickup at your hotel to transfer about 136 km to Vinh Long, a riverside town in the vast Mekong Delta, the world’s largest delta. Take a boat cruise to the lively Cai Be floating market where sellers and buyers bargain and exchange goods from their boats. Proceed through a fascinating maze of shady canals to Hoa Binh Phuoc Island. Beautiful landscape of zigzag canals, lush vegetation, peaceful villages and activities of rural life will make you a delightful sight. There on the island, visit some local farmers’ homes, interact with warm-hearted hosts and learn about their trades of bonsai gardening, tile and ceramic production and rice paper and coconut candy making.  
  2. Transfer to the pier, board on the traditional cruise and start cruising along the river. Entertain yourself with live traditional music shows and dances while indulging in a wide selection of fresh & homemade dishes presented on interactive buffet stations.
  3. After dinner, relax on the deck and enjoy the panoramic view of the city lights past some famous landmarks such as Bitexco tower – the highest building in town. After 2 hour cruising, disembark and
