Day 1

HANOI ARRIVAL – WELCOME DINNER 

  1.  Upon arriving at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our guide, who will be holding a placard with your name.
  2. After a transfer of about 50 minutes to an hour, you'll reach your hotel for check-in. 
  3. Hanoi, whose name means "River-bound City," is the heart of Vietnam, and its history spans over a thousand years to 1010. Day 2

FULL DAY HANOI CITY TOUR & WATER PUPPET SHOW 

  1. Start your full-day Hanoi city tour at the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, home to over 15,000 artifacts, life-size traditional houses, and rich audio-visual documentation that showcase the culture, customs, and beliefs of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. This immersive museum offers a deep insight into the diversity of Vietnamese heritage.
  2. Next, visit the historic Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university, built in 1070 during the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius and outstanding Vietnamese scholars. Explore the peaceful courtyards, intricate architecture, and rich history of this revered site. 
  3. In the afternoon, continue to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, an important historical and cultural site in Hanoi. Visit Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace, and the rural-style House on Stilts, where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked. Explore the Ho Chi Minh Museum, which highlights the life and contributions of Vietnam’s founding father, and the iconic One Pillar Pagoda, an 11th-century structure resembling a lotus flower, symbolizing purity and compassion. Choose to visit one of Hanoi’s specialized museums, such as the Hoa Lo Prison Museum, Vietnamese Women’s Museum, or National Museum of Vietnamese History, each offering a unique perspective on the country’s past and culture. Later, stop by Hoan Kiem Lake, also known as the Lake of the Returned Sword, steeped in legend and history. Cross the iconic red wooden bridge to visit Ngoc Son Temple, located on a small islet in the lake.

Day 3

HANOI – HA LONG BAY OVERNIGHT ON CRUISE 

  1. After breakfast, our car and driver will meet you at your hotel to begin the journey to Ha Long Bay, approximately 160 km away, or about a 2.5-hour drive.
  2. Along the route, you'll travel through the picturesque Red River Delta, where you'll have opportunities to admire and capture photos of Vietnamese farmers tending their rice paddies. Feel free to request stops to fully appreciate the serene countryside views.

Day 4

HA LONG – HANOI – FLY TO DA NANG – HOI AN 

  1. Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
  2. Upon arrival, your guide and driver will take you to the airport for your departure flight. 
  3. Once you arrive in Da Nang, our guide and driver will be waiting to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Hoi An.
  4. After checking in, you’ll have free time to relax and explore the charming town at your leisure. 
  5. Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was once a thriving maritime commercial port in Asia from the 15th to 19th centuries. Today, it is a tranquil town celebrated for its exceptionally well-preserved architecture, traditional lifestyles, and rich cultural heritage. Hoi An showcases a harmonious blend of Vietnamese and international influences, including those from China, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. 
  6. Stay overnight in Hoi An. 


Day 5

FULL DAY HOI AN ANCIENT TOWN – TRA QUE VILLAGE 

  1. Your day begins with a cycling adventure to Tra Que Village, located 3 km from Hoi An’s center. Renowned for its organic farming practices, Tra Que provides fresh, chemical-free vegetables that enhance Hoi An’s local cuisine. Explore the lush vegetable gardens, learn about the unique seaweed-based fertilizing methods, and hear the history of this special village. Join local farmers in their daily tasks, such as tilling soil, planting, or harvesting. Depending on the season, you’ll engage in authentic farming activities while discovering the deep connection between the locals and their land, offering a true glimpse into Vietnamese countryside life. 
  2. In the afternoon, your exploration includes visits to iconic landmarks such as the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, a symbol of Hoi An, complete with a small temple on one side that reflects traditional Japanese architecture. Continue to the Museum of Trade Ceramics, housed in a beautifully restored wooden building from 1858, which displays a collection of antique ceramic artifacts highlighting the town's rich trading history. 
  3. Visit the 200-year-old Tan Ky House, a prime example of an ancient Chinese merchant residence with its traditional architectural features. Explore Ong Temple, was constructed in 1653 by Chinese settlers to honor Guan Yu, the legendary Chinese general known for his loyalty, bravery, and justice. Finally, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the local market, bustling with colorful stalls and lively activities, offering an authentic glimpse into daily life in Hoi An.

Day 6

FULL DAY COOKING CLASS – MAKING LANTERN 

  1. In the morning, meet our guide at your hotel and walk to a local market to learn about food and the ingredients used in your recipes.
  2. After that, embark on a boat to ride along the Hoi An River for about 25 minute-row, watching local fishermen casting nets as part of their daily routine. Then, arrive at the cooking school to take part in the cooking class in an open-air pavilion by the river under the instruction of an experienced chef. Observe, practice, sample and bring out a good lunch cooked under the local style but to your own taste. 
  3. After lunch, take a cycling trip to a lantern-making family for a half-day visit. The lantern, brought by the Chinese and Japanese merchants when they came to Hoi An to trade and settle in the late 14th century, is the iconic symbol of this town. The traditional lantern crafting has been lasting for over 400 years until today. Observing and learning how to make lanterns in a traditional way under the guidance of friendly and skillful hosts is really exciting and enjoyable. You will have a chance to practice all making steps including whittling bamboo into splints and bending them into a frame, cutting fabric to size and gluing it to the frame to complete a lantern. You can take your own made lanterns as souvenirs to remember this beautiful and tranquil land.

Day 7

HOI AN – TRANSFER TO HUE – RICH TRADITIONS OF HUE COUNTRYSIDE 

  1. After breakfast, you will be transferred to Hue in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. The drive to Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam, takes approximately three hours, offering scenic views along the way. 
  2. Hue, once the Imperial City of Vietnam, served as the country’s capital during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945). Renowned for its historical significance and cultural heritage, Hue is home to stunning palaces, ancient temples, pagodas, and the iconic Perfume River. It is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers a rich glimpse into Vietnam’s royal past. Get off the beaten path to discover a more local, more authentic side of Hue! The Rich Traditions of Hue Countryside Vespa Adventure kicks off with a coffee or fresh juice at a local cafe, where you’ll meet your tour guide and fellow travelers. 
  3. Then hop on the Vespas and cruise through the atmospheric streets to a family temple, stopping to discover the rich traditions of Vietnamese culture. Take a short stroll, learning about the French colonial influence on architecture and the struggle that the locals have to preserve their beautiful riverside homes. 
  4. Continue on foot through a bustling local market where you’ll rub elbows with the locals who come to buy and sell their daily wares.From the market, we take a short ferry boat ride to cross the Perfume River and meet with the Vespas on the other side. Back on the Vespas, wind through smaller countryside streets, getting further from the modernity and bustle of city life. Pop into a small workshop making worship materials, gaining deeper insight to the skilled crafts and cultural traditions of Hue. 
  5. Then it’s a short drive to a folk art printing workshop. Try your hand at making your own print, while chatting with the artisans and sipping green tea. 
  6.  Next up, the Vespas take you through scenic rice paddies and other bucolic landscapes. Take a break at an ancient bridge, mingling with the locals who come to relax and enjoy the river breeze. This is a great opportunity to interact with curious Hue kids and other friendly, smiling locals! Loop back into the city where the tour wraps up with a drop-off at your hotel.

Day 8

FULL DAY IMPERIAL CITY – ROYAL DINNER 

  1. Start your day with a pickup from your hotel for an in-depth exploration of Hue, Vietnam’s former Imperial Capital from 1802 to 1945. Visit the Hue Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and vast complex comprising the Civic City, Royal City, and Forbidden City, surrounded by massive ramparts and moats. Stroll through historic gates, halls, and gardens, reflecting a blend of Vietnamese and Chinese architectural styles. 
  2. Continue to the Khai Dinh Tomb, the most elaborate of the Nguyen emperors' mausoleums, showcasing an intricate mix of European and Asian design elements.  
  3. Afternoon, board a dragon boat for a scenic cruise along the Perfume River, taking in serene landscapes and riverside life. Stop at Thien Mu Pagoda, a revered Buddhist monastery dating back to 1601, known for its iconic seven-story tower. Travel by car to the Minh Mang Tomb, a harmonious blend of architecture and nature, set amidst tranquil pine forests.
  4. Day 9

HUE – FLY TO HO CHI MINH CITY – COFFEE TOUR 

  1. Your journey begins with a transfer from your hotel in Hue to the Airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. 
  2. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in 
  3. Ho Chi Minh City, formerly and still commonly known as Saigon, is the most populous city in Vietnam. Vibrating with energy and innovation, the city is the economic heart of Vietnam and the main hub of the southern region. As a cosmopolitan metropolis of the country, its dynamic cityscape combining the old and the new of Vietnam has made it one of the most attractive destinations for visitors. 
  4. Coffee culture reigns in the Vietnamese metropolis of Saigon. From bespoke artisanal cups to Starbucks, from phin (the traditional Vietnamese coffee maker) to French press, there is plenty of space for different coffee shops and various cafes. In a city of coffee addicts, you will see old and young Vietnamese and travelers getting their caffeine fix at all hours of the day or night. Today, we are focusing on coffee shops for artsy caffeine lovers. There are apartment blocks around every corner in Saigon’s colonial city center, giving rise to the now-famous concept of cafe apartments. Day 10

FULL DAY CU CHI TUNNEL – CITY TOUR BY SPEED BOAT 

  1. Early in the morning, our guide will meet you at your hotel’s lobby and bring you by car to our speedboat at Bach Dang pier. 
  2. Then you will depart Saigon by speedboat. Within 15 minutes, the banks of the river change from city sprawl to lush jungle. A light breakfast of sandwiches or pastries, fresh tropical fruits and Vietnamese iced coffee (Ca phe sua da) is served, as your guide explains rural traditions and aspects of riverbank life. 
  3. You will arrive at the Cu Chi Tunnels site before the majority of larger bus tours arrive. Watch a brief introductory ‘propaganda’ video to the Cu Chi area. 
  4. Explore the tunnel site, which includes weapon and booby trap exhibitions, navigating authentic Viet Cong tunnel, visiting different underground bunkers (kitchens, meeting rooms, ammunition etc.), a firing range and much more. Try the local cassava root that sustained Viet Cong fighters for years. Say goodbye to Cu Chi Tunnel and return to Ho Chi Minh City. 
  5. Return to the city and visit the Reunification Palace, the former residence and workplace of the President of South Vietnam, which played a significant role during the Vietnam War. Continue to the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a stunning neo-Romanesque cathedral built entirely with materials imported from Marseille during the French colonial period. Nearby, explore the Saigon Central Post Office, designed by renowned French architect Gustave Eiffel, showcasing colonial-era grandeur.

Day 11

HO CHI MINH CITY – VINH LONG – CAN THO 

  1. Begin the day with a morning pick-up from your hotel and embark on a journey to Vinh Long, a picturesque riverside town situated about 136 km from Ho Chi Minh City in the Mekong Delta. Known as the world’s largest delta, the Mekong Delta is a treasure trove of natural beauty and vibrant culture. 
  2. On arrival, board a boat for a cruise to the bustling Cai Be Floating Market. Here, vendors and buyers gather on their boats to trade a wide range of goods, from fruits and vegetables to local specialties. Witness the lively exchanges and colorful display of goods, offering a glimpse into the traditional trading culture of the region. 
  3. Continue the journey through a network of shaded canals, reaching Hoa Binh Phuoc Island. This verdant oasis is a feast for the senses, with scenic zigzagging waterways, lush vegetation, and peaceful rural landscapes. Explore the island by visiting local farmers’ homes, where you’ll enjoy warm hospitality and learn about traditional crafts, including bonsai gardening, ceramic and tile production, and the art of making rice paper and coconut candy. 
  4. After this enriching experience, transfer to Can Tho, the largest city in the Mekong Delta, where you’ll stay.

Day 12

CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – TRANSFER BACK HCMC – FAREWELL DINNER ON CRUISE 

  1. Begin your morning with a shuttle bus ride from Ninh Kieu Wharf to embark on a boat cruise to the Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most vibrant floating market in the Mekong Delta. Located on the Can Tho River, the market is a bustling hub where traders and buyers congregate on boats to exchange goods, including fresh produce, local delicacies, and household items. Originally established to meet the trading needs of locals when road infrastructure was limited, the market continues to thrive as a vital cultural and economic feature of the region. To deepen your understanding of life along the waterways, the journey continues into the narrow Rach Nho Creek. This serene route offers a closer view of the Southern countryside, with its peaceful scenery and traditional rural activities providing an authentic glimpse into local life. 
  2. After the exploration, the boat will return to Ninh Kieu Wharf. Following the cruise, you will transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City, concluding your memorable journey into the heart of the Mekong Delta. 
  3. Transfer to the pier, board on the traditional cruise and start cruising along the river. Entertain yourself with live traditional music shows and dances while indulging on a wide selection of fresh & homemade dishes presented on interactive buffet stations.
